   The High Point-Thomasville Chapter is a duly-chartered unit of the American Red Cross.  The Administration staff are comprised of the Executive Director, Director of Administration, and Director of Finance and Accounting positions.  Closely associated are the positions of Director of Financial Development and the Manager of the Lexington Service Center.

   The chapter recently was recognized as a Highly-Performing Chapter in the Red Cross network. Fewer than 10 percent of all chapters achieve this honor.  The grading system for this award includes scoring in categories ranging from service delivery to administration, to board diversity.

  A dedicated paid and volunteer staff carry out the day-to-day operations of the chapter in accordance with national guidelines and the direction of the local board of directors.

  The finance and accounting office follows the strict code of the GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures), and maintains a separation of duties far in excess of the normal standards. 

  We are audited annually by an outside firm - Sharrard, McGee, and Co. P.A.  Our annual audit is available for viewing on site during normal business hours.

At the national convention held in Baltimore, MD. last March, The chapter was awarded the status of Highly-Performing Chapter.  Robert Ziegler, Executive Director - and Doug Burrow, Chapter Chairman, received the award from Bonnie McElveen-Hunter, Chairman of the Board of Governors, American National Red Cross.
